Yr 4 Trip Warwick Castle
Friday, 11 June 2021
On Friday 11th June the children of Year 4 set off for their trip to Warwick Castle. We were fortunate to have lovely weather.
We had a wonderful time learning about the history of the castle, finding out about some of the features of castles and what they were used for. Most of the children were fascinated by the features of the gatehouse, especially the murder holes. We explored the interior of the castle, seeing portraits and a piece of furniture commemorating Queen Elizabeth I's visit to Kenilworth, which was guided by Mr Smith. We saw an amazing display of falconry and also an archery demonstration. There was even time for an exploration of the maze. We almost lost Harneet, but thankfully she was rescued by Knight Woodward.
Thank you to Mr Smith, Mrs Chandler and Mrs Taylor for helping Mr Woodward on the day, Mr Mason and team for the picnic, and also a big thank you to Mrs Draper and Mrs Cuffley for making the arrangements.
