Year 3 Roman Day

On Monday 6th November Year 3 were visited by a real Roman Legionary, Quentis Cornelleus. This helped the children to further enhance their knowledge of their History Topic about the Romans. They experienced what it was like to be in the Roman Army and practised marching using the different formations - the testudo and the wedge. The children also enjoyed learning about how the Romans lived, what they ate and what they wore. A fantastic day!
