Year 3 Indian Day 2016
Wednesday, 3 February 2016
On Wednesday 3rd February 2016, as part of the Geography curriculum, 3L and 3T celebrated ‘Indian Day’. We learnt about the Indian god’s family tree, religions in India, traditions and how to make rangoli patterns. We practised counting, saying the names of the colours and rooms in a house and we had great fun learning Indian dancing and singing. In the afternoon, we saw a beautiful mendhi demonstration and had the opportunity to sample some delicious Indian food. We had a brilliant time discovering India. Many thanks to all the Year 3 parents who made the day so special; we hope that you enjoyed it as much as we did.
