Well, what an amazing day! The school was buzzing with excitement on Thursday when 'Spy Dogs' author Andrew Cope visited. The children looked amazing in their vibrant book character costumes and were entertained and inspired by Andy in equal measure.

Our author gave talks to children from Nursery to Year 6 and then visited classrooms to support the writing challenges he had set.  He was most impressed with the standard of the children's writing, creative ideas and willingness to 'have a go'.  He finished by sharing his three Golden Rules for success: 1. read, 2. Read, 3. READ! Many children will definitely be putting this into practice with their new Spy Dog's books this weekend, I'm sure! Andy then spent the afternoon with Year 5 and 6, who participated in his 'Art of Being Brilliant' course.  The children undoubtedly left with even more positivity, motivation and ambition than ever before!  What a memorable World Book Day!
