Waterstones Bookshop, Solihull

As part of World Book Day, and as a link to our DT project, Y4 braved the torrential rain to visit Waterstones bookshop. The children sat quiety and sensibly to listen to a reading of 'The Famous Five' by Enid Blyton and 'Blob' by David Walliams; both World Book Day books. It was wonderful to spend some quality time sharing a book. The children were then allowed to choose a book from the special collection and pay for it with their World Book Day voucher. Finally, looked at some of the beautiful pop-up books available at Waterstones which resulted in lots of 'OOOHs' and AAAHs' from the children.
Thank you to Waterstones and thank you to the children who behaved impeccably and were a credit to Ruckleigh School.
