A very young, inexperienced Ruckleigh team took to the field against an excellent Westhouse team consisting of 5 county players. Westhouse batted first posting a brilliant 143 off 20 overs. We did manage to take some wickets with brothers Aidan and Kian both taking a wicket each, Arnav took one early and Sarthak finished his spell with a wicket. After a refreshing tea break, our batsman took to the field. After losing Suchir early, Sarthak, Shubham and Aidan wrestled control back and started to hit a few runs. However, once these boys had departed the batting collapse was imminent. We finished all out for 65 in the 19th over. Aidan finished top scorer on 16. It was brilliant to see our Year 4 boys mixing with the Year 6s and being encouraged and supported and enjoying the game.
