On Tuesday 13th February, 21 pupils from Year 5/6 who regularly attend Golf Club visited
Four Ashes Golf Centre.
This was an opportunity for everyone to work on their golfing technique ahead of a new golf season.Newer members of golf club concentrated on the way they 'set up' to the golf ball (address position) and experimented with interlocking and overlapping grips to see which felt more comfortable. More experienced golf club members worked on their swing path for a more consistent strike.
In the morning session Mitchell triumphed in the long drive competition with a Rory McIlroyesque drive of approximately 100 yards into a strong breeze. Ben BJ won nearest the pin with a superbly flighted tee shot which finished 12 feet from the flag.
In the afternoon session Zak was the deserving winner of longest drive with an excellent shot that travelled around 80 yards. Annabelle, Sofia and Armaan all hit great shots to around 10 feet to share the afternoon nearest the pin prize.
Well done to all who took part.
