To end our topic of `Traditional Tales`, we have been learning about `The 3 Little Pigs`. First we looked at weight, exploring which material would be the strongest due to its weight. The children weighed sticks, straw and bricks, predicted which they thought would be the lightest and heaviest and then tested their prediction to see if they were right.  We worked as a team to create a house for each little pig, using the correct materials to represent the houses. We then used these houses as part of our tuff spot imaginative play role play. This learning extended into the home corner and the Wendy house outside where the children took it in turns to be the Big Bad Wolf and the 3 Little Pigs. Finally, on Thursday, we baked some chocolate chip shortbread to take home.
