Tournament

On Monday 28th September I took 7 of our talented Year 4/5 footballers to the first ISA tournament of the year at Dixie Grammar School. The weather was beautiful and the pitches were immaculate. We prepared to the best of our ability and I felt confident the boys would make a good show of themselves and do the school proud, but I was unprepared for how the day unfolded! We stormed through our group losing only 1 game and conceding only 2 goals-the highlight being a 5-0 thrashing of Lucton with Yash (Y5) scoring a spectacular second half hat trick! We won the group and played last year's winners in the semi final. A totally dominant display was capped by a brilliant Akos (Y4)  goal to send us through the final! The final against Salterford House was just as one sided-Luis Foster was a rock at the back and nothing was getting past him. Rufus in goal was only troubled once the whole game and pulled off a great save to stop the opposition scoring! It took a cooly taken penalty from Akos to win the final, but it was thoroughly deserved! It was a brilliantly organised day rounded off with a well deserved victory! Well done boys!
