For the first time in 2 years Ruckleigh School hosted a competitive fixture against another school and it felt so brilliant to be able to do so. The pitches looked in fantastic order and both the Under A and B teams were raring to go.

Both games were hard fought affairs and although we did lose both games there were some outstanding moments! Leonard scored goal of the day for the A team with a direct free on the halfway line and Sulaiman pulled off some remarkable saves in goal. 

Sofia was a colossus in defence for the B team whilst Neil in goal was as brave as a lion on many occasions thwarting the opposition attack. 

All in all it was a great occasion despite the results and I was impressed with all the players sporting attitudes and their application during the games.
