In February, eleven of our high scoring pupils from the Primary Maths Challenge were invited to take part in the bonus round. This paper does not depend on mathematical knowledge alone but on the ability to think things through, be logical and find ways to solve problems using high level reasoning skills. 68,000 pupils entered the Primary Maths Challenge with only 3255 pupils scoring 20 or more (out of 25 questions) being invited to take part in the bonus round. We would like to congratulate all of the pupils that took part, especially those that got through to the bonus round: Annalisa, Isla, Nidhi, Kareena, Zain and Friedrich. Some of our pupils scored high enough to receive bonus round awards, bronze awards were given to  Akash, Oishani, Maneet and Abhinav, a silver award was awarded to Akin. We are delighted to have so many talented mathematicians at Ruckleigh, well done!
