'Off by Heart' Ruckleigh's Annual Poetry Recital Competition 2017

On Wednesday 8th March, the whole school enjoyed a very special Assembly when every class from Nursery to Year 6 performed a poem they had learnt 'off-by-heart'.  The poems had been chosen from the collections of A.A. Milne and Roald Dahl as both authors would have been celebrating milestones this academic year.  We were incredibly proud of all our pupils who successfully memorised and recited their poems- some as long as fifty lines!  The standard has now been set extremely high for next year...and the teachers are getting very competitive!
