In March 2016, Year 1 as part of a Science lesson on 'Plants and Seeds', planted pumpkin seeds in the hope of growing their own pumpkin for Halloween. The children watered the seeds and looked after them in the Science Room until a small shoot appeared and then took them home. Mollie, with the help of her granddad, nurtured the tiny shoot throughout Spring and all through the Summer months until Autumn...and on 31st October, Mollie, who is now in Year 2, brought three enormous pumpkins into school.

Well done Mollie, what a fantastic effort!
