Year One perform for Harvest Festival

Wednesday, 7 October 2015

What a treat it was to watch Year One perform their Assembly for Harvest Festival. The singing, acting and music had us all entertained and it was difficult to believe the children were of such a young age.

The children performed ‘The Little Black Cloud’, a musical which told the story of a friendly cloud that just wanted to share its lovely rain. To the cloud’s surprise, it found that most people didn’t seem to want it. The cloud then met a farmer whose crops were dying because of a drought? Could The Little Black Cloud save the harvest?

Thank you to everyone who contributed food items. The charity ‘Helping Hands’ distributes parcels to people all over the Midlands, feeding over 1000 families a year.  It is a simple yet powerful ministry and exists purely through the generous donations of food.
