Year Three stepped almost two thousand years into the past at Lunt Fort to meet Roman soldiers Rufus and Gnaeus.  The children learnt how the fort was cleverly defended against the Celts and about the uniform of a centurion, before participating in a battle drill with javelins, swords and shields in the gyrus!  Lots of fascinating facts and Latin phrases were learnt, and our young, new recruits were all experts in Roman marching by the end of the day: 'Sin, Dex, Sin, Dex...'
