As part of the Year 3 Science curriculum, Year 3 visited the Parkridge Centre at Brueton Park (Solihull). As part of forest school activities, we constructed dens that the children enjoyed testing to see whether the structure was strong and was waterproof. We also learnt about different species of flowers and about bees. The children had fun taking part in relay races and their own creative dances to imitate the pollination process. We were impressed with how well the children behaved, their behaviour on the long walk to and from the centre and that they remembered to stay well-hydrated during the lovely, sunny weather.
