Year 3 had a super time investigating, designing, creating and evaluating delicious healthy sandwiches as part of our D&T curriculum.  Our Kitchen Manager Mr Mason, kindly hosted a two-session workshop for the children where they learnt to make their own bread and construct sandwiches with a multitude of fillings, all chosen by the children themselves.  Once the dough had been mixed by our teams, it was individually kneaded and shaped into everything from unicorns and hearts to more traditional buns, baguettes and plaits.  Chosen sandwich fillings ranged from halloumi, beetroot and cucumber to guacamole, peppers and tuna.  They looked delicious!  Hopefully our young chefs gave their families a sample when they got home!  Thank you Mr Mason!
