On Friday 23rd September, Year 2 visited Umberslade Farm to support the Science Curriculum. We had an enjoyable day learning about the different animals that we met. First we visited Cocoa, Freddie and Ben, the delightful donkeys and their pony friends Mollie and Marley. Then we went to see the goats, where a particularly lively goat, named Elsa, kept jumping out of her pen and chasing us around the barn! After that we gave milk to some calves and fed some of the larger goats. We also sat at some picnic tables where we were able to stroke and play with a rat, some guinea pigs and some tame rabbits named Podge and Cloudy. After lunch we had fun playing on the adventure playground then finished our afternoon off with a visit to the lively pigs, where we met five piglets, held chickens and their eggs and then had a very bumpy tractor ride.
