A group of Year 2 children had a wonderful day at Malvern St James Girl's School taking part in a Junior Olympics tournament. Many schools took part and the children were all split into different countries for their events. This gave a great opportunity for them to to mix and get to know others from various schools. The events included javelin, shot, bean bag relay, hurdles, long jump, high jump, sprint and 600m races. Lots of fun was had, many certificates were won and great sportsmanship was displayed. Many congratulations to Ryan Sherwood who was the overall winner of the day, scoring the most points in his events and for his team. He was extremely proud coming home with the Gold Medal! A Big Thankyou to all involved.
