What a treat it was to watch Year One perform an Assembly for their Harvest Festival. The singing, acting and music had us all entertained and it was difficult to believe the children were of such a young age.

The children performed a story about thanking God for the rain, soil and sun to enable us to grow our crops and have food to eat.

Harvest is all about sharing what we have with others who are less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you to everyone who contributed food items.

After lunch the children performed their  story to our neighbours at Ardenlea. It is a valuable experience for the children to perform to different audiences and have a respect for others. They all spoke clearly and were very polite to the residents and thus made Ruckleigh School so proud.
