Even though it's been a snowy week this week, today Kindergarten and Nursery still managed to get out to do their outside learning. We gave the children the choice to learn outside in the snow and those that did certainly had lots of fun.

Before the children went out they had to dress themselves appropriately for the snow and the Nursery children really tried hard to put on their own gloves and do up their zips by themselves.

There were many opportunities for learning, including: working together cooperatively to build a snowman, writing in the snow and digging down through the snow to find out numbers and letters. We made patterns with our footprints and had some amazing discussions about where the snow came from and what we could do to help the animals find food and water in this cold winter.
