To celebrate British Science Week the children enjoyed taking part in various activities all related to this year’s time theme, which celebrates the passing of time since British Science Week began 30 years ago, as well as looking at what the future may hold for us and our planet.

During their science lesson, the children were set a challenge to investigate the quickest way to melt a cube of chocolate. They came up with lots of interesting and creative ideas and most found that a hairdryer and steam worked very well whilst sitting on it or putting it in your shoe took much longer and was a lot messier!

A big THANK YOU to our guest speaker, Dr Hale, who came in to talk to the children about the water cycle, water pollution over time, how things have changed in relation to water treatment and having a career in science.

Thank you, also, to the children for the ideas and enthusiasm they brought to the week, which made it a fantastic week for all.
