Marking the day World War One ended, at 11am on the 11th day of the 11th month, back in 1918. Ruckleigh held a two minute silence out on the playground at 11am to remember the people who have died in all wars, not just World War One.

On Sunday 8th our Head Girl, Tia and Head Boy, Luke attended the annual Remembrance Day Service in Solihull and, on behalf of the school, placed a wreath on the War Memorial. Ruckleigh children past and present, parents and staff joined the Mayor and Councillors along with many local organisations and members of the public at what was a solemn occasion commemorating the centenary of WW1. It was wonderful to feel part of the community. Well done Tia and Luke for carrying out your duty with pride and respect.
