4D enjoyed a very brisk walk in wonderful sunshine to the Parkridge Centre in Brueton Park. They were greeted by Rosie who was our instructor for the day.  Rosie explained how to gather sticks and wood to use when building a fire.  She then demonstrated the best way to build, light and then douse a fire safely. The children were given the opportunity to build their own small fire and to roast popcorn kernels over the larger fire.  All of the children were very sensible and well behaved and Rosie praised them for this.  We had a splendid morning and the popcorn tasted much better than the microwavable version!
