Last Half Term, Nursery learnt about Animals around the World. This was a very exciting topic which spiked interest in all of the children. To finish off this Topic, on Friday 9th February, we went on an EYFS trip to Twycross Zoo. Despite the weather, we saw a wide range of animals. We started the day off completing the Gruffalo Trail and entering the butterfly house. Here, we watched the butterflies fly and some cocoons and chrysalis ready to hatch. We then had a quick stop for lunch where the Twycross Zoo mascot came to greet us which led us to begin our hunt for the animals. We saw a wide range of animals like Monkeys, Meerkats, a Leopard, a Tiger who was having a snooze, playful Penguins, Giant Tortoise, a Goat and a range of birds to name a few! The children did lots of walking and careful splashing in the puddles. We had a great day! A special thank you to our parent helpers who assisted on our trip to the Zoo.
