It is with immense pleasure that I share our first ‘Good Schools Guide’ review. The Good Schools Guide, a wholly independent company has reviewed schools since the 1980’s and prides itself on doing so from a parent perspective. Inclusion in the Guide is open only to the very best schools and we were delighted to be offered the opportunity to take part.

Highlights from our report included:

  • Across all age groups, we observed fun, interactive and creative teaching.
  • Confidence boosting demonstrated time and again too
  • Masses of enrichment via competitions and challenges so everyone gets involved and can represent school houses (Oak and Ash). Poetry slam, ‘Ruckleigh’s Got Talent’, Spelling Bee, Handwriting Competitions, Primary Maths Challenge, Science Week, Eco Day, African dance workshops etc. Usual array of clubs – particularly impressive Monday Mile before school (round the tennis courts), and fitness club spearheaded by head of sport.
  • Pupils - smart, respectful, chatty and relaxed - move around school at a sensible level of hustle and bustle.
  • Parents say they ‘bring out the best in your child’, producing happy, well rounded high achievers ready to move confidently onto the next stage of their education.

Of course, the highlights only provide a small sample of the whole report which can be found here
