Year 2 enjoyed a splendid day visiting at 'Cadbury World' on Friday 1st February as part of our Local History topic.  The children had fun investigating the harsh realities of working in Victorian England including testing whether they were small enough to be chimney-sweeps!  Some children had a taste of working in a Victorian factory and Karam proved a very demanding factory manager indeed! We learnt how the Cadbury family improved working and living conditions for their employees by building a 'Factory in a Garden' and why Bournville was selected as an ideal location. We learnt all about chocolate too of course and enjoyed a sample or two a long the way!  The children's favourite part was the 4D cinema experience which rounded off a super day!
