We had an interesting speaker to Assembly on Tuesday when Years 1-6 learnt a little about Buddhism. Manapo has been a monk for 17 years and he told the children about his life in the monastery and answered many questions.  The Assembly ended with the children spending a little time in silent Meditation.
On Wednesday, Manapo returned to speak to Year 5 about Buddhism as part of their RE Curriculum.  Manapo told the children about the life of Prince Siddhartha and the start of Buddhism and again spent time explaining and answering the many questions asked by the children.
We all enjoyed listening to Manapo and hope he will visit again.
